KayKay Day 2021

KayKay day is an annual campaign that we started in support of Make-A-Wish Canada in honour of Kayshaun "Kay Kay" Bennett, a fun loving 8 year old boy.

April 24, 2006 our founder and CEO Cola welcomed a bouncing bundle of joy who we affectionately called Kay Kay.  As a toddler he was diagnosed with DMD (Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy) a chronic illness affecting his muscles which doctors warned could shorten his life expectancy to around mid 20s.  Despite that news, we trusted God and Kayshaun continued to live a full and adventurous life.

Little did we know that his time with us would've been cut even shorter.  At the end of February 2014 Kayshaun was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and was given only the weekend to live.  Despite such grave news, we prayed for a miracle and promised Kay Kay he would live life to the fullest.

At that time, we got connected to Make-A-Wish Canada whose profound impact would be greater than we could have ever imagined.  Not only did they grant his big wish by sending our family to Disney World (yes cliché but still amazing) but Kay Kay had always dreamt of becoming a race car driver which he got to fulfill by going to the Honda Indy and meeting several race car drivers. Even his team at sick kids hospital arranged for him to tour a Ferrari dealership.

August 16th, 2014 Kayshaun 'Kay Kay' Bennett gained his wings 6 miraculous months longer than the doctors expected him to live.  Although we miss him dearly, we know for a fact that in those last few months there was more joy than sadness and more smiles than tears thanks to the wonderful people at Make-A-Wish Canada.  We've started this company because of his tenacity and love of life and have vowed from the beginning to include community givebacks as part of our ongoing mission. A portion of ALL sales will be donated in honour of Kay Kay up until Aug 16, 2021.

Help us grant wishes and support other families as we were supported.
